My business partner and I are actually neighbors who one day started sharing ideas and inventions that we had thought of to make life just a little bit easier.  We had several great ideas but had no way to get our ideas noticed.  The other problem that we had faced was finding companies that would be interested in our ideas.  We wanted a way to get our ideas out, have only interested companies contact us, and do it efficiently with little effort on our part.  That is when we came up with the idea of making a classified ads website for ideas.  IdeaAdz.com was born.

IdeaAdz.com is a user driven website that was developed to help kids and adults gain exposure for their great ideas and inventions.  Everyone has at least one great idea that could potentially make them a lot of money but the only problem is getting investors and companies to notice those ideas.   This was great and all but the biggest problem that we would face with such a website was to overcome the fears people may have about having their ideas stolen if placed on the internet.  The other side of this dilemma is that if people keep their great ideas to themselves, these ideas may never be realized.  In order to get ahead in life, you need to take chances.  We have a great idea for a website but if we did not take a chance on it, IdeaAdz.com may have never came about.  Our website gives you your opportunity to take a chance on your great ideas.

To avoid this fear of placing their ideas online, we ask people to describe their idea or invention without using pictures, diagrams, or measurements.  This is where people must be creative and try to sell their idea through their ad.  In the description, people are asked to describe how their idea has met a specific consumer need and how it will make life easier.  Once the idea ad is posted, companies or investors can read the description and those who are truly interested in learning more about the idea can contact the idea's originator via email.  When this occurs, we will have done our job.  We will have successfully connected that person with a company who could potentially bring their idea to life.  Less time is wasted contacting uninterested companies and people will experience less rejection.  Through IdeaAdz.com, interested companies and investors come to YOU!

In planning out IdeaAdz.com, we wanted a way that companies could simply go to the website, type in their company name, into our search engine,  and list all the ideas that people have submitted specifically for their company.  In the process of creating your idea ad, you will be able to list ALL the companies who you think would be interested in your idea.  The names that you enter will act as tag words for our search engine.  When a company types in their name, your idea will be listed if it is contains that company's name.  It's as simple as that.

The other function of this website was to help companies and investors find solutions or suggestions for their existing products or services.  Companies can also solicit the public for fresh ideas and inventions for new products.  These companies would simply create a project ad and submit it for people to read, review, and comment.  The company can even offer compensation to encourage more people to respond to their project ad.  When they choose a user that gave them the best suggestion, they can compensate them accordingly.
